Biography
Born in Toronto, Canada, Juliette Pelletier grew up in eight countries across five continents. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in Paris, with a minor in Art History, and studied classical painting and drawing at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. In 1999, she settled in New York City and since 2015 has made the South Bronx her home.
Alongside her studio practice, Juliette has worked as an independent curator, developing group exhibitions and international opportunities in collaboration with artists, galleries, museums, and alternative spaces. In 2018, she founded Juliette Solutions LLC, a mission-driven consulting firm offering event production, marketing, PR, and fundraising support for artists, art spaces, and non-profits in her Bronx community, and around the world.
Juliette’s international upbringing and exposure to diverse languages, cultures, and histories have deeply influenced her artistic voice. Her work integrates a wide range of cultural and philosophical elements, often exploring themes of scientific inquiry and the natural world, blending the tangible, the theoretical, and the ethereal.
Drawing inspiration from art historical influences such as Surrealism and the Italian Renaissance, her practice bridges classical discipline with imaginative freedom. The visual language in her artwork combines academic technique with symbolism, realism, and painterly abstraction, balancing precision with spontaneity. Each piece evolves intuitively, allowing narratives to unfold organically. Rather than impose a singular viewpoint, Juliette invites viewers into an open-ended dialogue, encouraging personal interpretation. Her work ultimately seeks to transcend the canvas, becoming a space where culture, memory, imagination, and perception intersect.
